(Ann Arbor, MI) - Cardinal senior, Ashley Hart, is the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week. Ashley earned the honors for her efforts last week as she helped the Cards go 2-1 on the week and pick up their first conference win of the season. The Cardinals fell to UMD but beat Rochester College and Lourdes University. Ashley averaged 4.38 kills, 1.23 digs during the three contests to help the Cardinals improve to 18-15 on the season. Hart recorded 27 kills against Lourdes University which ties her for the most kills in a match in the Cardinals' record books. Hart's record-tying 27 kills against Lourdes was the difference in the 3-2 win.

Senior #8 Ashley Hart

The senior from Birmingham, MI is in a number of categories in the Cardinals' record books. Ashley is currently #1 overall in career kills, block assists and total blocks. She is third overall in career solo blocks. Hart is also in the single season records books. She holds the single season record for block assists with 125. She is seventh all-time in a season with 50 solo blocks, a mark she has made this year and can still add to it. And she is third all-time in kills for a season with 445, again a mark she has made this year and still can add to.

The Cardinals open the WHAC Tournament tonight, Friday Nov. 4^th at Aquinas College against Madonna University. The match is set to begin at 7:15pm. Good Luck Ladies.
