LADY CARDS FALL SHORT IN OUT-OF-CONFERENCE MATCH

LADY CARDS FALL SHORT IN OUT-OF-CONFERENCE MATCH
(Sylvania, OH) - Our Concordia Women's volleyball team traveled down to Ohio on Wednesday to compete against Lourdes University. It was a close match, taking four games to decide the outcome, but in the end it was the Gray Wolves that prevailed. Lourdes took the first two sets by small margins (25-23 and 25-20), but the Lady Cards came back to win the third 25-22. Unfortunately, we couldn't keep the momentum going in the fourth and final set and the match ended 3 sets to 1 in favor of Lourdes University.
It was a close match from start to finish, and the Cards played well, coming in with 47 kills and 75 digs as a team. Ashley Hart and Danielle Guss stood out on offense with 19 and 18.5 points respectively. Shannon Pietruszka had a good game defensively with 24 digs. The Lady Cards definitely showed some good signs and they can hold their heads high as they look forward to their next match.
The Lady Cards will head out to Chicago this weekend for the Concordia Invitational Volleyball Tournament where they will face off against Concordia Illinois and Concordia Wisconsin. Bring home some wins ladies!
