(Greenville, SC) - The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) has announced the 2025 NCCAA Baseball All-American honors and several Concordia Cardinals were honored by making the three separate teams. The Cardinal honorees were highlighted by CUAA second baseman Jake Kuhlman who earned Player of the Year.
PLAYER OF THE YEAR | FIRST TEAM ALL-AMERICAN
Jake Kuhlman | Senior | West Bloomfield, Michigan
Kuhlman was a key piece of both the Cardinal offense this season after hitting .390 from the plate this season while also tallying 75 hits. Kuhlman's average was 29th best in the NCCAA, while his 75 hits were the 7th most this season. He also was able to tack on eight home runs and 55 RBIs (18th most). Kuhlman was second in the NCCAA this season with 54 stolen bases, which is a CUAA record for a single season.
SECOND TEAM ALL-AMERICAN
Tyler Wressel | Senior | Paw Paw, Michigan
The Cardinal catcher hit a career high .410 on the year (12th most), with 66 hits (27th most). Wressel also was able to record 31 extra base hits on the year, including 14 doubles, six triples, and 11 home runs to record a .776 slugging percentage which was the sixth highest this year (among qualified hitters).
Josh Burke | Senior | Macomb, Michigan
Burke, the Cardinal third baseman, was a consistent power bat for CUAA as he hit the third most home runs throughout the NCCAA with 19 this season. Burke recorded a .315 average from the plate while having a .427 on-base percentage. He also tallied 11 doubles and a triple to add on to his power numbers.
THIRD TEAM ALL-AMERICAN
Trey Acker | Junior | Eaton Rapids, Michigan
The Cardinal ace recorded a 8-1 record this season with one save. His eight wins were the fourth most in the NCCAA this season as he would also have a 3.46 ERA which was 10th-best (among qualified pitchers). Three times Acker pitched a complete game, which was tied for 11th most in the NCCAA.
WORLD SERIES ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM
Logan Morris | Senior | New Baltimore, Michigan
Morris appeared in a pair of games throughout the NCCAA World Series. In his start against Judson, Morris pitched six innings only allowing one run on three hits. He also appeared in the Cardinals final game against Jessup, where he pitched two innings, and allowed one hit in relief. He recorded a 1.13 ERA in his eight innings of work.
NCCAA SCHOLAR-ATHLETES
The NCCAA qualifications for Scholar athletes were for a junior or above in academic standing, while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.40. The 19 Cardinals who were honored on this list were Trey Acker, Macus Bugeja, Alexander Czyzewski, Derek Hebner, Kyle Hebner, Evan Jasiak, Justin Kozlowski, Tyler Lawson, Bryon Mane, Clayton McKinstry, Logan Morris, Drew Murphy, Ethan Pollard, Harrison Ryan, Ryan VanSlambrouck, Blake Weaver, Aaron West, Kyle Winslow, and Tyler Wressel.
