College Football America Release

The College Football America Yearbook 2018 was released on Sunday evening and the Cardinal Football team was ranked 17 in the preseason poll. The publication also featured running back Joe Conner on the front page of the NAIA section. The preseason recognition comes on the heels of a program best 9-2 campaign and the first ever appearance in the NAIA Football Championship Series. The Cardinals only two losses came to the national champion (University of St. Francis, IN) and runner-up (Reinhardt University).

Joe Conner (JR/Flat Rock, MI) paced the Cardinals prolific and high powered offense with 1449 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns. Conner ranked 5th in the NAIA in total rushing leading him to 1st team MSFA offensive honors.

The College Football America 2018 Yearbook features more than 930 college football teams from the United States and Canada in more than 300 striking, full-color pages. That includes every team from the NCAA (FBS, FCS, Division II and Division III), NAIA, NJCAA, CCCAA and U Sports (Canada). It also includes updates on club football, one-year postgraduate prep/sports academies and Mexican college football, along with dozens of action shots and stadium photos taken by the CFA staff.

Concordia is one of five MSFA schools to appear int he poll along with No. 2 Saint Francis (Ind), No. 5 Marian, No. 7 Saint Xavier, and No. 26 Saint Francis (IL).

In the final post-season NAIA poll, the Cardinals were ranked 15th. The NAIA preseason poll will be released on August 6th. The Cardinals will report to camp on August 6th with their first game set for Saturday, September 1st against Malone.
