Women's hockey drops game against University of Michigan

(Ann Arbor, MI) The women's hockey program played their second consecutive game against the University of Michigan Wolverines on Sunday with this matchup taking place at Yost Arena. The Cardinals kept the game close through the first two periods, but ultimately lost 0-9 to the Wolverines.

  • The game remained scoreless until seven minutes into the first period when Jamie Mccarthy found the back of the net.
  • Madelyn Mceachern would score the Wolverines' next two goals on her way to an eventual hat trick.
  • After keeping the game within three points for the first two periods, the third period featured six Michigan goals with Erin Proctor scoring a pair of goals.
