(Ann Arbor, MI) Head Coach Hailey Cavanagh and the Concordia University softball team have announced the addition of Heidi Walters from Traverse City Central High School.
Walters primarily played behind the plate for Traverse City Central, also playing some at 2nd for the Trojans. She was named the 2019 player of the year and has received many MHSAA awards. During her time at Traverse City Central Heidi broke the school records in season homeruns and RBI's.
That 2019 season caught the eye of Cardinal Head Coach Hailey Cavanagh. "Heidi is a passionate and energetic player. Heidi had a monstrous year last year being named player of the year and we're excited to see how that translates here at CUAA! We are excited to have Heidi join us in Red & Black next fall."
Heidi is the daughter of Jim and Kim Walters and has three siblings; Emily, Ben, and Abbie. She plans to study nursing at Concordia in the fall.
