(Ann Arbor, MI) Head Coach Hailey Cavanagh and the Concordia University softball program have announced the addition of Abby DeView from Croswell-Lexington High School.
DeView played shortstop and catcher for the Pioneers under the direction of coach Bob Young. Young knows her skills will translate over to the college game well. "Abby loves softball and it shows in her endless enthusiasm for the game. As a player, she is mentally tough, disciplined and most of all coachable. She's a terrific player and will be a great addition to the Concordia Softball program."
"We are excited to have Abby join our program both academically and athletically," said Cardinal head coach Hailey Cavanagh. "Abby is a versatile player with some great pop in her bat, and we only see her getting stronger."
Abby is daughter of Ed and Cynthia DeView and has two siblings. She plans to pursue a degree in nursing during her time here at Concordia. Abby's family had this to say about her future as a Cardinal; "We are beyond blessed for Abby to be able to experience this opportunity. Her hard work and dedication throughout the years have made her into the player she is today."
