(Ann Arbor, MI) The Concordia softball program is excited to announce the addition of Katie Bauer to the 2020-21 recruiting class. Katie will join the Cardinals from Saline, Michigan, where she attended Saline High School.

Bauer spent her career as a Saline Hornet behind the plate and as a corner infielder. She also played for the Lady Irish club team when not playing high school ball. Bauer will bring power to the Cardinal lineup as she earned a gold medal in Olympic weightlifting at Saline.

Head Coach Hailey Cavanagh is excited for Bauer to contribute at Concordia in the coming years. "Katie is a tough and gritty kid who is really passionate about softball and Concordia. We look forward to seeing her develop over the next few years in our program."

Katie is the daughter of Brian and Jen and plans on studying Psychology while at Concordia.
