(Ann Arbor, MI) Head Golf Coach Elisabeth Komurka and the Concordia University golf program have announced the addition of Neil Heinlein from Ocala, Florida.
Neil will join Concordia from St. John Lutheran where he played for the Saints and worked with swing coach Scott Curry. While at St John, Heinlein earned First Team All-County honors his junior and senior seasons with a 36.3 9 hole average his senior year. Heinlein also played on the Florida Junior Tour where he has played his way in to multiple top 20 and top 10 finishes.
Neil's family are excited and proud of Neil. "We thought this was a good fit for him: school size, golf team, the whole nine. Should be a good experience for him."
"I'm super excited," said Neil. "I'm glad this position came to me. We didn't really know where golf was going to go for me, and I'm super excited to be coming up there for the next four years."
Head Coach Elisabeth Komurka is just as excited to have Neil join the team. "We are thrilled to see where Neil can help us take the team, as well as watch him be that the next wave of leaders on the team as our current under and upper classmen keep moving through the program."
