Men's cross country competes at Siena Heights Invitational

The men cross country team returned to action on Saturday afternoon at the Siena Heights Invitational. The Cardinals fielded a full team for the first time this year and the results were encouraging. The placed fourth overall with 89 points.

Avery Sanchez paced the Cardinals with a 13th place finish overall to a time of 30:20. Sanchez set a personal best by nearly three minutes as he ran a 33:21 at the Taylor University Bullock Invitational. Geoffrey Wallace (31:07) and Adam DiMaggio (31:19) were next to cross the finish line for the Cardinals as they took 17th and 18th respectively.  

Noah Starkey (32:04) and Theodore Eising (32:16) rounded out the scoring for the Cardinals. Michael Brannan also finished for the Cardinals with a time of 32:42.

Siena Heights took home the top team finisher recording 27 points. They also had the top individual finisher as Liam Hartsuff ran an 8k time of 26:05.

The Cardinals will take a week to resume training before hosting their own meet. The Cardinals will host the "Old School" Invite on Saturday, October 17th. The meet will take place on the campus of Concordia University and  is scheduled to start at 11am.
