Season Highlights
Heading into the final game of the season, Concordia has already achieved many program greats. In addition to dedicating the beautifully built Cardinal Stadium, CUAA has won some memorable program games. The Cardinals won their first ever Mid-States Football Association contest against the then receiving vote getter Siena Heights University Saints 28-27. Three weeks later Concordia took down the highest ranked opponent in school history after defeating the fifth ranked team in the country, Saint Xavier University. The Gridiron Cardinals have one more opportunity to cap off the historical season by the most wins in school history and the first ever winning season.
Scouting Lindenwood-Belleville
This is the first matchup between the Lynx and Cardinals as this is the inaugural season the Lynx being apart of the Mid-States Midwest Football League and 4 year overall as a program. The Lynx enter the game with an overall record of 3-6 and 1-4 in the MSFA. Despite the record, results have not been indicative of the team competitiveness under first year head coach Dale Carlson. The team is led by dual threat quarterback Tarean Austin with 1724 passing yards and 214 rushing yards. Defensively, the team is anchored by Linebacker Eric Sadowski who leads the team in tackles with 77 and 3 interceptions.
Around the League
Concordia jumped up one spot to fourth after being in the fifth spot last week. Saint Francis (IN), Marian, and Taylor round out the top half while Siena Heights, Lindenwood-Belleville and Missouri Baptist round at the second half. Other Mideast League teams in action will be Siena Heights traveling to take on Marian. Saint Francis will head to Missouri Baptist while Taylor heads to Trinity International.
