(Tuesday Sept. 21st, Ann Arbor, MI) - The Lady Cards were back in action on Tuesday against new Conference foe, University of Northwestern Ohio. The Cardinals have been working on things the past couple days and are looking for their first Conference win of the season.
Game 1 went to the Racers of Northwestern Ohio, 25-14. The Cardinals responded in game 2 winning a very exciting game 28-26. The Cardinals played well the rest of the match but Northwestern Ohio brought their "A" game on this day and were a little too much for the Cardinals. The Racers won game 3 25-16, and won game 4 25-19. The Racers front attack was very good and just seemed to find an opening on every attack. The three combined for 43 of the teams' 57 kills.
Leading the way in kills for the Cardinals were juniors Danielle Guss and Ashley Hart, recording 15 kills and 12 kills respectively. Leading the way in digs for the Lady Cards was sophomore Hannah Shiff with 14 digs and freshman Stephanie Emington with 13 digs. Senior Shannon Murphy also had a good game for the Cardinals recording 7 kills and 4 block assists.
The Lady Cards are back at home on Saturday Sept. 25th against Davenport University. Come on out and support your Cardinals! Good Luck Ladies!
