(Kansas City, MO) - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2024 Men's Lacrosse NAIA All-Americans and Concordia had six players recognized. Noah Sorenson and Sam Saje were named First-Team All-Americans, while Travis Wright and Zachary Dixon made the Second-Team, and Hunter McCarty and Sam Bowling were dubbed Third-Team All-Americans. The Cardinals are tied with Cumberlands for the second most All-Americans this season at six, only behind William Penn with seven honorees.
NOAH SORENSON | SR | HOLLAND, MICHIGAN
After receiving Second-Team honors last season, Noah Sorenson was named to the First-Team as a defensive midfielder this season. A senior from Holland, Michigan, the short stick midfielder helped the Cardinal defense as he caused 18 turnovers and picked up 36 ground balls. Offensively Sorenson added 9 goals and 6 assists.
SAM SAJE | SR | MACOMB, MICHIGAN
Sam Saje, a senior from Macomb, Michigan, was named the First-Team Face-Off Specialist after leading the nation in face-off percentage among qualified players. His 69.5% success rate was the best in the NAIA and allowed him to win 239 faceoffs for the third most in the nation. Saje led all face-off specialists with 178 ground balls and also scored 5 goals and passed for 7 assists on the season.
TRAVIS WRIGHT | JR | TROY, MICHIGAN
Travis Wright, a junior from Troy, Michigan, earned Second-Team honors as a midfielder for Concordia. Wright accumulated 48 points throughout the season, racking up 29 goals and 19 assists. He also picked up 17 ground balls throughout the campaign.
ZACHARY DIXON | SO | FENTON, MICHIGAN
Zachary Dixon, a sophomore from Fenton, Michigan, was also dubbed a Second-Team All-American as a defender. Dixon caused 23 turnovers throughout the season, putting him in the top-30 of the NAIA. The Cardinal long pole scooped up 25 ground balls on the year, while also netting a pair of goals and dropping an assist.
HUNTER MCCARTY | SR | LAKE ORION, MICHIGAN
Hunter McCarty, a senior from Lake Orion, Michigan, earned Third-Team All-American honors as an attacker. A key cog for the Cardinals offensively, McCarty led the team in points with 61, making him 26th in the NAIA. McCarty distributed a team-leading 22 assists while also grabbing 27 ground balls.
SAM BOWLING | SR | CANTON, MICHIGAN
Sam Bowling, a senior from Canton, Michigan, rounded out the Cardinals' honorees with a Third-Team recognition. The Concordia goalie was seventh in the NAIA with only 8.95 goals allowed on average and ninth nationally with a 54.7 save percentage. Bowling saved 162 shots throughout the campaign and picked up 27 ground balls as well.
Prior to this season, Noah Sorenson was the only Concordia Cardinal's Men Lacrosse member to be honored on an NAIA All-American team.
